Crowns & Bridges
A crown is a type of cap that completely covers a real tooth. It’s usually made from metal, porcelain fused to metal, or ceramic and is fixed in your mouth.
Crowns can be fitted where a tooth has broken, decayed or been damaged, or just to make a tooth look better.
To fit a crown, the old tooth will need to be drilled down so it’s like a small peg the crown will be fixed on to.
It can take some time for the lab to prepare a new crown, so you probably will not have the crown fitted on the same day.
We use both traditional long standing materials to the latest available materials for fabricating crowns and bridges which are safe and compatible with oral tissues :
1. PFM (Porcelain-Fused-to-Metal) Crowns
These crowns combine a strong metal base with a porcelain outer layer for a balance of durability and aesthetics, making them suitable for both front and back teeth.
2. DMLS (Direct Metal Laser Sintered) Crowns
Made using 3D printing technology, these crowns consist of a metal core, offering high precision, strength, and a perfect fit, ideal for posterior teeth.
3. Zirconia CAD-CAM Crowns
Fully metal-free and crafted from zirconia using CAD-CAM technology, these crowns provide exceptional strength, biocompatibility, and a natural tooth-like appearance, perfect for highly visible areas.
4. E-max Crowns
Crafted from lithium disilicate glass-ceramic, E-max crowns are known for their exceptional translucency, natural appearance, and strength, making them ideal for restoring front teeth and achieving a lifelike smile.
